"Sad for Huck but glad for his next role"

The posters and bloggers at Huck's website are sad.  Most will not vote
for McCain, let along Obama or Clinton.

Some of them expected God to cause a miracle, the nomination of
Huckabee for the Republican candidate.  But I thought that in the world
ruled by Satan, it would indeed be a miracle if God gave us a good
president.  By a "good president" I do not mean a perfect man, for
there is no other who fits that description than Jesus.  But Huck had
so many good qualities, in spite of being very much "just a man", that
I think he would have made one of our greatest presidents.  I was not
alone in thinking "another Lincoln."

I read this morning on the New York Times that Huck will this very week
receive offers to be a talk show host and to be on a Christian Values
network that the actor Baldwin wants to get going.  So his ministry
will go on.

One of his best interviews was with Lou Dobbs on the evening of the
Texas primary.  In it, Dobbs asked him about Hagee's stand against
Catholicism.  Huckabee stated that several of his lead campaigners were
from the Catholic church, and that Catholics were "Christian pilgrims"
who had led the fight for Life even before his Baptists had got really
active.  I was thrilled to see him defend these people.  Which again is
not to say the Catholic Church has not, as an organization, sinned
mightily, and may do so again.  Just to say that, as I know personally
indeed, some of the true Christians are Catholic.

In the Dobbs interview, he and Dobbs agreed on Dobbs' main issues,
secure borders, national sovereignty, and return of jobs from overseas.

We have a big loss in the downing of our warrior Huckabee, but praise
God that Huckabee's voice may continue to go out over the television
and airwaves, and soon!

Some of us need our Huck Fix.  We want that merry heart to cheer us up.
And those good ideas that need more consideration.
