"Another Bishop who left the Episcopal Church"

I read the article Donna posted on the bishop in central California who
stood up for Biblical principles on homosexuality.   He is being ousted
by the national body.

There is another bishop who left the Episcopal Church late in 2007.
This was the Bishop of Albuquerque and the surrounding parishes of
Northern New Mexico.  I occasionally attend the Episcopal Church in Los
Alamos, so I heard about it.  It was thought that this bishop would
probably become a Catholic.  He refused to accept the ordination of
homosexuals or gay marriage.

The vicar of the Los Alamos Episcopal Church, tried to talk him out of
leaving, but he said he could no longer carry out the wishes of the
denomination, and so had to leave.  The Los Alamos vicar, Colin Kelly
III, is the chair of the oversight committee to find a new bishop.  I
have not attended that church recently so I do not know if they have
found a new bishop.  Father Kelly considers this whole matter a
tragedy.

A sidenote:  Father Colin Kelly III is the son of the famous World War
II pilot Colin Kelly.
