I LOVE Matthew 20, the story of the Vineyard workers. In this story,
those who signed on at the eleventh hour are paid the same as those who
worked all day, even though those who worked all day grumble at the
"unfairness."You say this applies to the Bride, that those who become part of the
Bride at the eleventh hour are indeed part of Her.This is so "Jesus" to me. He says "come", and anyone who comes, at any
hour, is His! Do not grumble if you think this is unfair, He says,
because in my Kingdom there are no "hours". There is no time as you
know it, although there will be way-markers. The thief on the cross
came at the eleventh hour, and his arrival was celebrated in Heaven the
very same day.I was trying to find Jesus much of my life but got off on byroads, only
actually coming into the sheepfold fairly late in life. That I finally
made it is such a demonstration of His grace. And there are yet others out there who may make it, even now, at the
eleventh hour. Pray for them. Pray for every one to make it. We may
know with our heads that everyone may not make it, but our hearts say
to all, with the Lamb, "come!"
