"Re: Wornandweary Daniel 10:13"

Dear Brother,

We discussed Daniel 10:13 in January 2008, and I wrote then that I was waiting for fuller understanding from the Lord:

The Lord led me to the answer a few days ago - through a reading of the original 1611 KJV version - the translators were unsure about how to translate from Aramaic to English, and therefore presented two possible translations of Daniel 10:13. However only the first translation was retained in subsequent versions, yet I assume that an Aramaic scholar reading through the original Textus Receptus would still agree with the 1611 version.

The original 1611 version is very difficult to get hold of. The most commonly available KJV today is a revision published in the 1700s . There is an online resource at <http://dewey.library.upenn.edu/sceti/printedbooksNew/index.cfm?TextID=kjbible&PagePosition=953> that shows the sidenote for Daniel 10:13. I have bold printed the text and side note below.

Daniel 10:13 (KJV 1611) But the prince of the kingdome of Persia withstood mee one and twentie dayes : but loe, Michael one / the first  of the chiefe Princes came to helpe mee, and I remained there with the Kings of Persia

in Jesus' Name,
