"That rumor of a "secret" Congressional session"

Dear friends:

After my message about the possible rumor hoax of an alleged "secret" Congressional session to discuss the nation's demise, a couple of people have written to me to say that "prophets" have been saying those things will happen and some of it is already happening.

Well, I don't know about the so-called "prophets," but myself and others have been saying for years that judgment is coming.  However, God's purposes are not served and we do not have to help Him along by false Internet rumors instigated by white supremacists and anti-Semites, if that is what happened.

Strangely, some Christians are America haters and President haters and seem gleeful whenever there may be a hint that the nation is about to collapse.  With certainty, for years one has even been saying that our President was going to be imminently assassinated, but thankfully God has not allowed it to happen.  These people had better be thankful for their blessings in America, pray for revival, and pray that God's judgment would be withheld or delayed.

No doubt, there is much sin in America, as equally in the rest of the world where Satan is prince, and all the world's sin will be judged.  But there are also millions of the redeemed here, and America's resources are still the main engine to fuel the Great Commission efforts worldwide, which are blazing on every continent.  A collapse will cause that engine to shut down.  I don't want that to happen until after the rapture.

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
