"To Randy and others boycotting easter"

Dear Randy,

Please accept this admonishment with the love that is intended by it...
Should we not celebrate the resurrection of our Lord every day?  After all it is our hope and the fullfillment of the prophecy, and a portion of the promise that He will come again.

By boycotting "easter Sunday" you are depriving the rest of the congregation you fellowship with, salt, light and prayer when they perhaps need it most.  So many Christians are babies, they need teachers and role models, not to be deserted and chastised for things they don't even begin to understand.

It is just my opinion, but the pagan holidays celebrated by churches are teaching opportunities.  They are used to focus the congregation on the life and a particular aspect of sacrifice by Christ.  I am not saying that you should buy into the extra stuff designed to remove Christ from the focus (Santa Claus and easter bunny, etc - and I just flat out refuse to acknowledge the satanic celebration in october). But you can use the days to really concentrate on teaching the concepts behind the days that many just wash over or don't understand.

We are not jews, everyday should be a celebration of all of the feasts that God ordained to teach the jews the truth. Every time you excuse yourshelf from the congregation God  put you in is one teaching/serving opportunity you are not taking advantage of.  We have so little time left none of us has any to waste, but need to be about the Lord's business with all that we do.

Anxiously awaiting our groom,
Your sister in Christ,
Jill
