Hi I was reading one of your pages
http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/may2007/matt55.htmand I wanted to say something about what you wrote about King Saul. He was
not an Antichrist figure, Saul Loved God and did not want to be King of
Israel but God forced it upon him. Saul like an idioit disobeyed God several
times just like David did. Then in his old age he went insane at times, like
when he chases David and Killed the Preists.
After he killed the Preists in the bible it says he was filled with Gods
spirit and fell to the ground and ripped his cloths off. Now why would God
fill and evil man with his spirit?God told Israel they would suffer if they wanted a King and God chose Saul
for many reasons and God used this man at times to punish Israel.
Samuel Tells Saul when he goes to the Medium that he will die in Battle the
next day that he and his sons will be with him. Where was Samuel ? Paradise.King David Writes 2 Sam 1:23 "Saul and Jonathan--in life they were loved
and gracious, and in death they were not parted..." David Himself tells us
where Saul went with that statment.
The bottom line is, David commited sins just as great as Saul ever did. The
only difference is David tended to plead for Gods forgiveness more then Saul
did.
Davids son Absalon was not evil as well. No where in the bible does it state
Absalon was evil. God used Absalon to punish David and Israel for David and
Israels sins.Davids daughter was raped and he did nothing about it. So Absalon killed the
man for raping his sister. Then David kicks Absalon out of Jurusalem for
doing the job David was suppose to do. After some time he tells Absolon he
can come back but treats him like garbage.
Remember David had anger at Absalons mother Micah. Because micah Complained
to David about showing his Privates of to all of Israel while he was
dancing. Micah was righteos in doing this and David was sinning. Then David
got mad and held this grudge against Micahs children. You'll notice every
time David knows hes doing right he speaks of how the lord is with him. But
when he addresses Micah about dancing naked he leaves the lord out of it
because he knew he was doing wrong.
So no, Absolon and Saul were not Antichrist figures.
