Dear John and all doves,
Why do you think that the Christ/Messiah became the word of Hebrew Scriptures made flesh and dwelt with humankind? There were no 4 Gospels, The Book of Revelation, or Epistles at the moment of His conception. Why not Greek or Latin? Greek and Latin are language vehicles or conveyers of values of pagan Greece or pagan Rome. How pagan is the Messiah? Not at all. Moses and the prophets constantly told the children of the 12 tribes to repent and leave paganism. In Revelation, Christ/Messiah tells a group of people who follow Him, to leave "the Mystery, Babylon the Great." He follows in the great line of those earlier prophets in urging people to leave the things which mislead.
One important difference between Christ/Messiah and Paul is how they learned from the Word. The Master learned directly from the Hebrew. Why not, since He was the Hebraic Scriptures personified. Paul learned from a Greek translation. He was from the tribes, yet he saw spiritual things through a pagan Greek lens or filter.
When the phrase the Jews is used accurately it refers to the tribe of Judah or Yahuda. By extension, it can refer to the southern kingdom. That can mean Judah, Benjamin, and the priestly class of Levi. Would this mean the northern kingdom of the ten tribes? That seems like another group with special things to do compared to the southern kingdom.
We have another complication when we think we know who the Jews are in our world. Arthur Koestler and others did research and found that a group of people called the Kazhars converted to a form of Rabbinical Judaism in centuries 9-11. Are the descendants of these the seed of Abraham and the 12 tribes? Maybe not. Abba Father and His Son know who those members of the 12 tribes are and the smaller group of the 144,000. Some may still in diaspora and unaware of their origins. Are these all in Israel now? Are they dispersed throughout the world? Will they repent to someone with Greek names or names like Yahushua, Yeshua, Yahshua derived from Hebrew? We are unaware of how we often choose a Greek related view of things rather than Hebraic. Was my Master a Greek? No. Was He a pagan? No. Was He a man who saw things through Hebrew and Aramaic as conveyers of values? Yes. I believe the 2 witnesses will be like that. Their values will have a foundation of Hebraic Scriptures in their living and preaching. Our Master did.
In future, will the bride in Christ/Messiah have a master tutorial at His feet as Mary, Martha, and Lazarus did? Will we learn all the details of living in His Kingdom? It will be necessary to get us on the same page, so to speak. Like Ruth, leaving the paganism of Moab behind her, we must be educable. I want to learn more. His values will be absolute and vitally important in each detail. If we have any Greek pagan values, or other pagan, they will have to go.
Our Master told us to follow and obey Him. Did Ruth love Naomi and her husbands by refusing their values and customs? She became engrafted into a new family. May I be willing to learn His example. The bride is willing to learn what pleases her beloved. A pagan Greek lens is not how He saw Scriptures and life. He wants me to be His new creation in His life and values. May I agree with Him.With Love and Shalom,
