      We recently had a posting by Seapraiser in which the name Yahushua was used for Christ/Messiah. There was no elaboration or explanation given for this name. It is an English language transliteration of His name from Hebrew. It has Abba Father's name in it and is a kind of statement of faith as one says it. The name for Abba transliterated from Hebrew is similar to the name of the tribe of Yahudah with the "d" taken out. Saying Yahushua is like saying that His Father is our salvation. Joshua is our English language equivalent. Many translations of the Scriptures use titles rather than names. Why? It was probably done to show reverence for the name of Abba Father and protect it . Yet, these names from the Hebrew are good to know. Actually, I believe they are important to know.
      We are nearing the season when the earlier Joshua/Yahushua led the tribes over the Jordan River on Nisan 10 into the land of promises. With no barley in abib/aviv in Israel early in this month, next month should be Nisan with Passover/Unleavened Bread. How interesting it is to ponder the Yahushua who long ago led the people into a promised place, and the ever living Yahushua who will lead into a promised place for the beloved bride.
