P & L....There was a show on the History Channel, it must be a weekly show, called "UFO Files"......I'd never seen it before, but I happened to see it listed and thought I'd see what they were promoting. The show begins with a a picture of the Bible, and the narrator saying...."The Bible, a sacred text filled with fantastic tales of an awesome supernatural force. But, what if that force wasn't God? What if it was a UFO? In Ezekiel, what was that gleaming wheel, within a wheel that descended on the prophet? In the Sodom and Gomorrah of Genesis, where did the devastating fire and brimstone come from? In Exodus, what was that presence in the sky that led Moses through the desert? Were these the actions of God, or might these mysterious forces in the skies have been UFO's in the Bible?......"In the Bible, mysterious aerial phenomena appear, and alter the course of human history. To religious scholars, these events are an infallible record of God's presence and Godly events. But some MODERN DAY researchers offer a different theory. Perhaps these stories REALLY describe alien visitations? ......"Then, they segue right into the voice of, and then the priest himself on camera (nice credibility touch there....don't you think) saying this......" Is it possible that extraterrestrials have been involved in human history for thousands of years, and if so, did they have contact with the Biblical people? "A chariot of fire that "abducts".. (nice choice of words for a supposed Biblical scholar there as well)... Elijah and takes him off into the sky. The narrator then adds, "Elijah was one of the most revered Jewish prophets. According to UF-O-logists, the Biblical account of his encounter with chariots of fire, is a detailed description of, what might be termed, a UFO."The narrator goes on to offer the explanation of angels, as merely being aliens. The priest even offers the distinct possibility that the "beings" that entered the jail cell and helped Peter escape, were aliens, because of "reports" of modern UFO cases where aliens have had the ability to go through "solid walls"....!!!! Also, this priest said that it is very likely, that the Bible's accounts of what we have always thought were angelic visitations......were aliens operating "telepathically" .....when revealing supernatural occurances/things to Biblical characters, i.e., the "beings" were directly involved in reproductive miracles...such as Sarah becoming pregnant at such and elderly age. He said that the beings could read her mind...and that that is a big issue with modern day encounters with extraterrestrial beings. He then immediately goes into a discourse about how so many of the "abductions" that are reported in modern times, have involved the aliens who are extremely interested in our reproductive systems. Can you believe it?.... He then says......"That we have the very real possibility that aliens were involved in the reproductive process of Abraham and Sara. and that Isaac is here due to some type of extraterrestrial intervention. This is unbelievable! This priest is offering the possibility that all of the miracles, he mentions others, in the Bible where angels, fire, chariots, brimstone and such are described, can very easily be explained as extraterrestrial interventions. The priest then submits the theory of a secular author who wrote a book called "The Chariots Of The Gods"..........and that he concluded that extraterrestrials had actually destroyed Sodom and Gomorah,..not God raining fire from heaven. The priest then speculates that extraterrestrials may even be so involved in the development of life on earth, that they would, IN FACT, destroy a whole city, or a perhaps a whole "group of people" ....meaning Sodom and Gomorrah.........!CAN YOU SAY RAPTURE.....?They then surmise, that if aliens were "somehow" proven to be real, that it would "change" all the stories in the Bible and that the future of Western religion would "completely" and dramatically change here as a result."CAN YOU SAY RAPTURE.....?Are people here being set up, or what....?Blessings ,...& ......Wow.....!!!! ........
