Dear JohnThanks for the Five Doves site. It blesses me always, whether there may
be some that I don't always agree with, I enjoy most of what everyone on
this site is sharing and would say, Doves keep on looking up for Jesus
is coming!I would like to respond to Chip who wrote in "Is it just me ?" Chip be
encouraged, it's not only you who is experiencing this. Here in South
Africa, I and my pastor have experienced the same disinterest in the
coming of the Lord Jesus from many pastors and others. Jesus said that
many Christians love would wax cold, Mat 24:12. When you look at 2 Tim
3:13 and compare it with Mat 24:48-49, you can see why the love of many
is waxing cold. What is their love waxing cold for? I believe it is the
love of His appearing. Keep looking up Doves; the rapture is a reward
for those that are looking for His appearing. It has nothing to do with
salvation; it has everything to do with obedience. The Lord stated that
He would appear to those that are looking and watching. Would it be safe
to say that He also implied that to those that are not watching, that He
will not appear!Chip you can still greet a person and be courteous, and not have to take
it further. Don't fall into the exclusive bracket. Just keep a good
position and thank the Lord that He has promised to keep you and other
doves from the hour of darkness that is coming on this world, if your
eyes are skywards. "We are children of the day and light"! Amen! The mystery of iniquity is working in this world right now and has been
for some time. Pastors that are in error and not teaching the correct
gospel the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ fall into this category, anyone
teaching another way of salvation other than through the blood of Jesus
and repentance from their sins, fall into this category. Matt 24:12
says, because iniquity shall abound. What is this iniquity, it's
disobedience, falling short to one side, falling short of God's will.
Who is the Lord Jesus talking to in Luke 13:25-27. Note in verse 27 the
Lord says workers of iniquity after the door in verse 25 is shut, what
door? The rapture of course. Those shut out are the foolish virgins who
will go into the tribulation. Also see Matt 7:22-232Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this
seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth
the name of Christ depart from iniquity. How wonderful to know that the Lord Jesus knows those that are His, so
let's call out of a pure heart and depart from iniquity. On another note!
A couple of years ago I was reading Song of Solomon 2:10- 17 in
particular verses 10-13 and felt the Lord Jesus telling me in my spirit
that the timing of the rapture would be in the spring. The text tells us
that the Lord calls us to come away, for low the winter is past, the
rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth the time of the
singing of birds is come...etc. etc.... all references to Spring!
Keep looking up!!!
