I love bubble baths. This is my time to light some candles, climb in the tub and spend time with the Lord through reading, worshipping to music, and prayer. As I was doing this tonight I was thinking about the rapture and how wonderful it will be when we are all with the Lord someday. I remember the days when I was not as anxious for this because I wanted to get married and have children. Then after the marriage and children thing I wanted to see my kids get married and have children. I don’t think like that anymore. I’m ready for a different kind of wedding.............the one with our Lord and Savior. As I was meditating on the Lord tonight the following verse came to mind……………………"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31, KJV We are all watching for the Lord to come, but it’s also important to WAIT on him. How do we wait? I’m glad you asked. Some do it idly, not really concerned one way or another about what is going to happen. Some wait anxiously, like a kid having to take a test he is unsure of, complete with nail biting and sweaty palms. Some wait with anticipation, like a kid who is asked to wait to open his Christmas presents until Grandma and Grandpa arrive. And when they arrive, what a great time it is!
The idle believers represent people of the world
The anxious believers are people possibly not ready to part with the world
The anticipating believers are people who have let go of the world and are ready for the Lord’s coming.
I know there are a lot of anticipating Doves out there. I’m right there with you. And when the Lord comes we will be rewarded for our watching and our diligent waiting. Whether the rapture happens this spring, next spring or 10 springs from now……. as you wait, count on the Lord to give you strength through the Cross, through His Word, and through the love, support and guidance we have right here on this anointed website.
