Sorry about the “Kelly” confusion. I guess I should use my last name or a nickname. I was thinking that from now on I’d go by the name of Psalm 91 because this was a chapter in the Bible that my parents had me, my 3 sisters and my 1 brother memorize when we were in high school. Mom and Dad would wake us up at 5:30 every morning for Bible study. There would be moans and groans from all of us, and the worst part was the fiber my mother would sprinkle in our orange juice. I think she thought it would help us focus. They were doing everything they could to fulfill Proverbs 22:6 which tells parents to Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it. Well……so far so good. Five born again, holy spirit filled adults we remain, with most of us in our 40’s now. We owe it all to our Lord Jesus and of course, two awesome parents. May I encourage all parents to do everything you can to bring up your children in the ways of the Lord. They may not be interested, they may put up a fight, and they may rebel. But it’s our responsibility to at least give our children the foundation they need to walk the right path.
That was an awful lot of information just to mention a name change, and I’ve already changed my mind about that. :)
I’m going to go by the name of Georgia Kelly because that’s where I live and that’s who I am.
Thanks Peggy for the sweet note about my father and for putting his prayer request on your website. Thanks Kelly Herman for the suggestion.
Watching and Waiting for His Return,
Georgia Kelly
