"Is "Trust and Obey" a legalistic
hymn?"
Seems to me modern theology should omit this
song.
Trust and obey
For there is no other way
To be happy in Jesus
Then to trust and obey.
The trust part is ok, but the obey? I mean isn't God
only concerned with faith? And isn't obeying a work "I" have to do. Only
Jesus did what is worthy so there is nothing I can do because that is of
the flesh and therefore works. You know, once saved always saved. We will
all be raptured if you have said the sinners prayer. You don't have to
worry about living a holy life, just do whatever you want because Jesus
paid the price for us to be free.
No, no, no. Christians who are living in disobedience
will not be raptured. If a person is a as perfect a Christian as can be
and they teach anyone this above lie, they will be part of the foolish
virgin group and they will live hell on earth until God puts an end to
this world system.
The 10 virgin parable is not about the Jews, it is about
us, Christians who claim the name of Jesus.
