I have been watching this excellent documentary by Ken Burns about Lewis and Clark. Beautiful scenario and lots of drama with the many different tribes they had to meet along the way. It got to the point where information about the road ahead was not known. THey had to rely on instinct, faith and God for intervention. It was an awesome journey. It took faith to depart on it. If they knew how difficult it would be before they left many might not have gone. But in the end it was more then worth the effort. We too have a journey we can go on. We can sit back in a chair and watch other peoples lives on TV, or we can head out and really live. One we gain nothing, the other is a reward we will cherish forever.
