I recently went to a large Russian wedding. The father has 13 kids and the second one was getting married. He invited many christians. He doesn't make much money but he put on a beautiful wedding dinner for what looked like around 500 people. All the tables were beautifully set and the food was served to us while we sere seated. Without ceremony a hat was passed at the end of the feast. The wedding was paid for easily.
 
This was a visual dress rehearsal for the soon coming wedding.
