"don't cry...... for the
wicked"
Thats a hard saying. Kind of like, don't throw
your pearls before swine. After all, these are your neighbors, family,
fellow workers. Could it be that we choose them over God when we don't
say anything that would offend them, like the Gospel. I once had a rapture
like vision that envolved that. We walked up a path thruogh a crowd that
watched us christians on our journey. I saw many leave the trail for the
world and I became afraid. I just stared downward and kept walking fearing
that what I would see would tempt me off the path. At the end of the path
were the radiant faces of those who were bold with the word. I felt great
sorrow for those left behiind. I felt bad for not having much success and
not being more outspoken. I was told that if I loved them so much I could
stay. Hard words. We choose the wrong kind of love when we fear offending
them more then offending God. It is very dicouraging when you are reminded
at how hostile many are towards the Gospel of Jesus. Even the Christians
who have become so like the world that they seem oblivious to God calling
us to holiness. They perhaps are even harder hearted. Indeed seperation
from the darkness of the world is what we are being called to. It seems
they have chosen what they have chosen and the time is quickly running
out.
