Dear brother Jim,
Good thoughts about the U.S. However, there is one other possible source of the destruction of this country that you didn't list. That is God Almighty Himself. Whether Americans like to hear it or not, this country has become one of the wickest nations on the face of the earth. Even though there is "a remnant" of true believers in this country, they are in no way stemming the rising tide of evil sweeping this nation. We win one here and there to Christ, and I praise the Lord for it. But the nation is steadily descending ever deeper into the abyss of wickedness, sin, and rebellion against God, and God's people [true believers] aren't even slowing down the march of the masses towards eternal destruction.
That other possible source that you failed to mention? So-called "natural" catastrophe. The New Madrid fault line is 65 years past due for a major earthquake. When the last major quake occurred on this fault line in 1811-12, the area was sparsely populated and there were few casualities. If such a major quake occurred today, there is ten million people living along or in close proximity to that fault line. Millions would die, especially if the entire Mississippi River basin slipped beneath the sea, as many psychics have predicted. Add to this the Hayward fault line in California which is overdue for a major quake and is showing every sign of breaking loose with a major quake in the near future. The Hayward fault line feeds right into the San Andreas and also into Yellowstone National Park. If the Hayward goes, it is very likely that half or more of California will drop off into the Pacific, and that the ! Yellowstone caldera will break open and explode into violent eruption. All of this could all happen in just one 24 hour period, and when it is over there will no longer be a nation here for the rotten politicians to continue corrupting, or for other nations to invade. I personally think man's puny nuclear bombs, or the threat of Islamic invasion is the least of America's worries. The Lord told men who they should fear many centuries ago, and I don't think He has changed His mind, Matthew 10:28; Luke 12:4-5.
Brother, I have written on the Russian invasion of Israel several times in several different Bible studies. I am convinced that some would rather believe a lie, than to just believe what God's Word explicitly states. I am sending you one of my Bible studies on the subject. You can read it or trash it, but the truth set forth in it will stand the test of time. "Time is always on the side of truth."
God bless you dear brother. I'll see you in glory very soon.
