"Gas Prices"
Hi John & All:
For those CNN pundit types who worry about gas hitting the legendary $4.00 per gallon level in the future ... I just want everyone to know that in Canada the future is now.
Driving by a local station on my way home this afternoon, I noted the price to be $1.129 CDN per liter. To translate into the gallon measurement:
1 gallon = 3.79 liters x $1.129 = $4.28 x 1.01 (exchange rate) = $ 4.32 U.S.
Now the best part of this thing is that Canada is one of the largest producers of oil in the entire world - so why is it $1.10 per gallon more expensive than in the United States?
Answer: It's all being manipulated ... just like the U.S. - CDN dollar parity.
See ya in the air,
Eric
