Maybe you 'should' have first read this book yourself, or at least took the time to do some research on it before you recommend it for others to read. Because it comes from a man who is the pastor of the Worldwide Church of God, or what is now known as The Church of God, which was founded by Herbert W. Armstrong.

In Walter Martins book "Kingdom of the Cults" we learn, that they, like Mormons, believe we will someday become gods ourselves.

From the book, "Why You Were Born", Herbert W. Armstrong states: "The purpose of your being alive is that finally, you will be born into the Kingdom of God, when you will actually be God, even as Jesus was and is God, and His Father, a different Person, also is God! You are setting out on a training to become creator - to become God!"

The author of the book you are recommending, Ronald Weinland, had this on his website at http://the-end.com/RonaldWeinland.asp "Although the Church of God has not been accustomed to having a prophet for nearly 1900 years, God made him (Ronald Weinland) a prophet in 1997.... and his book, 2008-God's Final Witness is a revelation of the Book of Revelation. As Ronald Weinland explains, the apostle John was given the task of recording prophetic events reserved for revelation at this end-time, and he states that he has been given the task of revealing the truth about those things John wrote."

And at his church's website at http://www.cog-pkg.org/: it says, "God's Church observes the 7th day Sabbath and the seven annual Holy Days as given in Leviticus 23. Our purpose is to support, educate, and warn the scattered Church that was formerly united in the Worldwide Church of God. More than ever, now is the time to be preparing for the return of Jesus Christ. The prophesied events we have been experiencing, over the past few years, are the very events that announce His coming. Ronald Weinland, who is the pastor of God's Church on earth, has also been appointed by the God of Abraham to be His end-time prophet to the world, preceding the return of Jesus Christ."

He claims to have been appointed by God himself!! Teachings such as his, though he is bound to get some things right now and then, need to be exposed for what they are, and not blindly taken as God's truth.

Put your faith completely in Jesus Christ, not in any man or any movement.
