The governmental return and perfection of twelve Part three
 
This is a good point to relate the biblical meaning of the number 12 to how close we could be to the rapture. If the 7 year tribulation were to start in 2008, the middle of this future time period would be 5772 (2012). This center point would be marching toward 20...."12." If this is the case then the heart of the beginning of the second half of the tribulation period would be 20...."12."
 
Remember twelve means divine governmental perfection. The middle point of the 70th week of Daniel (7 year tribulation) is when Jesus Christ starts to take control of the nations as the devil is cast out of heaven with great wrath and anger. In the mist of all the chaos and judgments, this is the point when Jesus Christ starts to execute His divine governmental perfection (12) perhaps in the heart of 20...."12."
 
Here are the verses for the middle of the 7 year tribulation period.

"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven,saying, the Kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ: and He shall reign for ever and ever." Revelations 11:15.

"Therefore rejoice,ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them, Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you,having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." Revelations 12:12.
 
Could this governmental battle between Jesus Christ and the devil happen in the year 20....."12?"
 
For my last piece of evidence from the backdrop of the meaning of 12, I would like to talk about the Mayan Calendar. This particular Calendar ends in the year 20...."12." The question many people are asking, including individuals not interested in end time Bible prophecy is what about the accuracy of this particular Calendar?
 
I would like to talk about the Maya civilization and explain why I believe they saw something specific. Why did they stop at the year 2012?
 
The Mayans were self preservationists by nature because the rain was harsh and wild animals surrounded them. They were an Indian culture in Central America that hunted for their own food. They were also big on producing precious metals.
 
Some people in the culture may have read or heard about parts of the Bible but the overriding tone was paganism..
 
The King would have to go through a brutal religious ritual of blood sacrifice. Tattooing and scarring was very popular.
 
The year 761 a.d. was the turning point for the Mayans. There were wars,breakdown of their social order and intense civil war. Most of the books were destroyed never to be found again because they were considered demonic.Calendars were not thrown out because even their enemy recognized this incredible skill and work.They needed this commodity.
 
Some books did survive.They were excellent in an understanding of the hemisphere,math and astrological Calendars of incredible accuracy. Their pyramids were very detailed and complex.
 
The question most prophecy students have in their mind would obviously be the accuracy of the Mayan Calendar. Did a few Mayans put together a Calendar, go to lunch and say, "we are tired so let's call it a job?" No, there would be two reasons for this answer. (1) They were known for perfect Calendars. That was their specialty. (2) If this rumor of being lazy on the job got around they probably would have been punished in a very harsh way or perhaps even killed. This was a very disciplined culture. When they did a job it was completed to the end. It was not in their nature to fool around.
 
What did they see regarding the Calendar and the year 2012? Evidence would suggest that they were experts with the sun. They actually had a thing with the sun. Don't ask me why but this was a real issue in connection with their culture. They took the sun very serious.
 
Is it possible that they knew the sun so well that they were actually able to draw up an entire Calendar from this star? Did they understand sun spots would rise 2011/2012 to a point where such disruption would take place? Perhaps moving in to the year 2013 would have been an exercise in futility to them. I believe this to be true because they were highly intelligent in this subject. Does this sound like the middle of the 7 year tribulation period to you? Seems to me that they saw something different and just stopped the job because in their minds they were finished. I don't think they knew more than we do as much as the Mayans saw something very distinct. What did they see?
 
"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout." The rapture is just about to tack place. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your heart,time is running very short for you to make this decision. This is an eternal decision and a necessary choice for you to be a part of the rapture.When people listen to me in an apathetic way regarding this issue, I don't believe they understand how horrible the 7 year tribulation is going to evolve into as the judgments are pronounced from heaven.
