We have studied this passage for years as our Pastor calls it "the keys to the kingdom" entrusted to Peter.  If followed, the believer is strengthened and can build up others, too.
We are not rapturists per se but are looking forward to His appearing with Great Joy.  Also hoping to be chosen.
