Where is America in Ezekiel 38?
Ezekiel 38:8-13 (KJV) 8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
[The above is speaking of the attack on Israel in the Middle East. From here on down, it is speaking of the attack that will take place at that same time against this United States]
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. [U.S.A]
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, [British Commonwealth] with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
America’s attack by Russia is being described in the above passage beginning in verse 10, with the phrase “at the same time”. While Russia is attacking Israel, they will then also “think an evil thought”. This evil thought and subsequent attack is not the same event that verses 8 and 9 are describing. God is not confused and repeating Himself. He is describing an additional attack that will happen subsequent to the first one (against Israel in the Middle East). This additional attack will take place against the U.S.
We (along with Great Britain, Saxons, or Isaac’s-sons, which God promised Abraham that his descendants will be known chiefly by Isaac’s name, and unless God lied, this must be so, even though they don’t know who they are for a while) are the stick for Joseph in Ezekiel 37:16 that is joined to the stick for Judah in the latter days and the two nations become one in God’s hand once again, as it was under King David. The first part of Ezekiel 37 was fulfilled with Israel in the Middle East. The second half of this chapter beginning with verse 16 is being fulfilled when the events of Ezekiel 38 take place.) We are the land of unwalled villages that are at rest dwelling safely etc. This is why when all the other nations of the world are gathered together against Israel, we are part of the target not part of the bad guys, get it? Just as we have seen things shaping up for years and will continue in spite of the trends lately of our leaders not supporting Israel’s best interests.
You cannot take a spoil from a land that has no cattle and goods to spoil and you sure cannot take a spoil from a land even if it does have it, if you nuke the hell out of it first. Russia will attack Israel in the Middle East for reasons other than spoil, such as hatred. This other additional attack is specifically to get the huge spoil that this nation has, and it will come from below or south of the target land – as you know Russia cannot attack anyone to the north from its home “I will go up to the land...” But as Colonel Oliver North tried to point out to the American people during the Iran Contra hearings, and our own Congress headed by Senator Daniel Inouye of Hawaii would not allow him to do so… That is to play his slide show presentation… There is a huge buildup of Russian troops and conventional war machinery just south of us. (No doubt bigger and more formidable now than it even was then.) Had Col. North been allowed to show that presentation, the American people may have awakened to the huge threat of Russian military presence just south of us, poised for a major attack on this nation using conventional not nuclear warfare. Oliver North was in trouble with Congress simply for raising monies with that slide show from private wealthy Americans who saw the threat and wanted to do something about it when our own government refused and voted down aiding the Contras. But Russia did not merely want Nicaragua, (that was a means to an end) it wants the land of unwalled villages just north of there and it wants to take a spoil from us. Russia needed that territory for their bases and we did nothing to stop them. Instead we helped defeat Russia in Afghanistan, (a nation which hates us and which would later give refuge to our arch enemy) half a world away and where we had no business going and where there was no immediate threat to our own wellbeing – Go figure.
God will do as He always has done when His people Israel worship idols; he uses the threat of our enemies to bring us back to Himself again. When Russia attacks Israel in the Middle East, the U.S. will send a great military force over there as we always do in such cases and there will be no one home to protect this land and Russia will know that. Not only that, but by then the American people will probably have been disarmed as well. This will get folks’ attention and turn them back to God and He will intervene.
Prophecy will never be understood as long as “teachers” keep suggesting that the Jews are all there is of the whole house of Israel. For example, they speak of the 144,000 “Jews” No; the Jews are only the house of Judah which includes Benjamin, although Levi chose to join themselves to them because the temple was there. Nevertheless, Levi retained their separate tribal identity and was never called Jew, but Levite. Have you never wondered why in Jesus’ day He never meets up with a Reubenite? Or a Gadite? Or an Asherite? Or a Naphtalite? Or a Manassehite? Or a Issacharite? Or an Ephraimite? Or a Zebulunite? Or a Danite? Yet all of these tribes will be represented (except Dan) in the 144,000 as the Whole House of Israel.
The only tribes that Jesus encounters in His day in Palestine are Judaites, called Jews, which He also was, and Benjamites which were given to Judah and were also called Jews, and besides those were the Levites. Of Jesus’ disciples only one was of the tribe of Judah. (Can you guess which one? Jesus’ own trusted close companion which betrayed Him.) All the rest were of the tribe of Benjamin, including Judas’ replacement and later Apostle Paul as one born out of due season. This fulfilled a prophecy that Benjamin would be a light bearer to his brethren… Other than those two tribes, the only other tribe encountered is Levi. Where were all the other tribes? They were right where Jesus sent His Benjamites to go preach (scattered, dwelling in Islands and coasts of Europe) and where Jesus’ closest followers went as He sent them to the lost sheep of the House of Israel and said that they would not have finished going over the land of Israel before He returns again.
Matthew 10:5. These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 15:24. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 10:23 …for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
ll Esdras 13: 39 - And as for your seeing him gather to himself another multitude that was peaceable, [Ezekiel 37]
40 - these are the ten tribes which were led away from their own land into captivity in the days of King Hoshea, whom Shalmaneser the king of the Assyrians led captive; he took them across the river, and they were taken into another land.
41 - But they formed this plan for themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the nations and go to a more distant region, where mankind had never lived,
42 - that there at least they might keep their statutes which they had not kept in their own land.
43 - And they went in by the narrow passages of the Euphrates river.
44 - For at that time the Most High performed signs for them, and stopped the channels of the river until they had passed over.
45 - Through that region there was a long way to go, a journey of a year and a half; and that country is called Arzareth.
46 - "Then they dwelt there until the last times; and now, when they are about to come again,
47 - the Most High will stop the channels of the river again, so that they may be able to pass over. Therefore you saw the multitude gathered together in peace.
48 - But those who are left of your people, who are found within my holy borders, shall be saved.
49 - Therefore when he destroys the multitude of the nations that are gathered together, he will defend the people who remain. [Ezekiel 38.]
50 - And then he will show them very many wonders."
51 - I said, "O sovereign Lord, explain this to me: Why did I see the man coming up from the heart of the sea?"
52 - He said to me, "Just as no one can explore or know what is in the depths of the sea, so no one on earth can see my Son or those who are with him, except in the time of his day.
53 - This is the interpretation of the dream which you saw. And you alone have been enlightened about this,
54 - because you have forsaken your own ways and have applied yourself to mine, and have searched out my law;
55 - for you have devoted your life to wisdom, and called understanding your mother.
56 - Therefore I have shown you this, for there is a reward laid up with the Most High. And after three more days I will tell you other things, and explain weighty and wondrous matters to you."
Though I must include the disclaimer that I in no way agree with all the information found there, (especially as concerning the rapture) they have good stuff on the lost tribes.
