I am posting a portion of a presentation that I gave recently at a men's
meeting at our church, which I hope will be helpful to those involved in
Masonry, and to those who have acquantances involved in Masonry.

Around 40 years ago, back in Ohio, I was approached by a man who attended the same church as my family and I, and he invited me to become a part of the Masonic Lodge in the town. When I considered that my dad and two of my brothers were 32nd degree Masons, I felt it might be a good thing. After all, I would have the opportunity to get acquainted with other Christian men, so I thought.
Well, I went through the three steps necessary to become a Master Mason, , and even though I thought this involved some pretty weird things, I didn’t pay too much attention at the time .Later on I was asked if I would be willing to sing the hymns for each of the meetings, and I consented g.
I attended the Lodge meetings for some time, when I came across some Christian literature that gave evidence that freemasonry was not Christian, and that I should leave it. Feeling this was the right thing to do, I stopped going to the meetings, much to the dismay of the man who had invited me into the organization, who was also an officer in the Lodge .
I must tell you that even though I attended church every Sunday, I did not have a right relationship with the Lord at this time. I never read the Bible on my own and never had a daily prayer time. If I had been right with the Lord, I never would have gotten involved with the Masonic Lodge.
Freemasonry is a religion which believes that everyone outside is in darkness, and that Masons have the true knowledge that will bring light to the world. Masonry only requires that one have a belief in any god. The first commandment God gave us states: “You shall have no other gods before me.” Also, God forbids the taking of the pagan blood oaths of Masonry.
Christians involved in freemasonry should repent to God and get right with Him, just as I did. I am grateful to the Lord for showing me the error of my way. He has blessed me richly as a result and he will do the same for anyone else who takes this step.
One day each of us will stand before Jesus Christ and will be asked to give an account.. He will not be pleased with our good works done to glorify ourselves, or to please others. He will be pleased however by our obedience to Him, and by our giving glory to Him during our stay here on earth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” If Jesus Lord of your life, or is something else? When we stand before Christ, will we hear him say “Well done, or depart from me, I never knew you.
