"New Religious Movement??"

John and Dove Friends,

There is a strange new "religious" type of movement coming along slowly but surely

within the last few years. I don't have a name for it, but I can describe it.

This "movement" , if one could call it that is to leave out those things that Jesus told

us to do where Godly compassion is involved. I see this as a very serious affront to

Jesus, to the Christian community, and to those who will suffer because of it.

Some of us have heard of "conservative compassion", which I don't really know the

meaning of. I suppose it means just a little bit of compassion, but not much? Others

say to leave the compassion out altogether. Compassion is an act, rather than just a

"poor thing" thought. The non Believers recognize true compassion. When an unsaved person

sees our compassion (not just thoughts, but acts), the recognize it as love. God has quite a bit

to say about what we do for others. Then He says if we do NOT do Godly deeds for others,

we don't do the same for Him!

We know the the love of God is "shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost". My

question is...if that love is there, and it is when we know God, we cannot help but have

love in our hearts that compel us to do works of compassion and love for each other as

well as for the lost. It's just in us. Got there when we became born again.

Would like to share these scriptures to remind us what pleases God, what He is concerned

and focused on so much that He listed these in His Holy Word. These are just a few of

things to put on our "DO TODAY" list. They aren't things that we won't want to do, but are

things that our natural reborn spirits want to do. They go right alongside of winning the lost

to Christ and presenting the Word to them with pure love.

Proverbs 24:11 Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say "But we knew nothing about this", does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?"

Matthew 25

before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
[33] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
[34] Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
[35] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
[36] Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
[37] Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
[38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
[39] Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
[40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

[41] Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
[42] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
[43] I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
[44] Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
[45] Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
[46] And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

James 1

[27] Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

We are in a busy world. Oh, if there were 30 hours in the day, we wish sometimes.

I have seen God redeem our time, when we are willing to give some to Him. When we

give to others, we are giving to God , we are doing the same to and for Him.

TIme IS short, we all believe, but it is SO short, all the more reason to minister to God by

ministering to others in whatever ways we can and whomever the Spirit places in our

pathways to do the works of Christ-thereby ministering to Jesus Christ.

When we know to do good for others, and refuse to do it, it is a sin.
