"Re: Pepperpot -Unbiblical Slavery"

Pepperpot and all doves,

I am writing to thank Pepperpot for agreeing with the Word of God and show the love

he/she has in her heart for everyman everywhere. Thanks for all of the good scriptures,

also showing God's love toward everyman everywhere in every situation.

Considering "social situations"....and looking at the scriptures, we see that the first

commandment in the New Covenant is to

Matthew chapter 22

[36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38] This is the first and great commandment.

[39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Who is our neighbor? I think we all know the answer to that.

Can we love our neighbor as ourselves and not help when we see a "social situation" that calls

for mercy and love? No we cannot.

We have to ask ourselves an honest question and give an honest answer...that if we saw ourselves

and our loved ones as slaves, would we shrug our shoulders and ignore it, being content to see

one human own another, with about every mistreatment known to man and God? When we see

ourselves being sold at the slave market and we see one of our children go to one owner and

yet another child go to another...with knowledge we might not ever see that child again, husbands

and wives separated forever on this earth....how would we feel about ourselves?.

Let's love our neighbors as ourselves. What concerns God does concern the body of Christ.

God Bless All
