Dear Doves,

It appears that we have been given three ‘witnesses’ on how to verify the number of days equivalent to a generation in Matt 1:17. Has anyone determined the total number of days from Abraham to David and/or days from David until the carrying away into Babylon and/or days from Babylon to Christ? I believe each of those three categories divided by fourteen should give us a generation.

Mat 1:17  So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Side Issue: If Israel has to get permission from America to fly over Iraq (or Babylon) then who is Babylon?
