"And the dead in Christ will
rise first.....as a warning?"
There is one short sentence in Matthew 27:52,
immediately after Jesus died and "yielded up his spirit" that says:
"and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen
asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection,
they went into the holy city and appeared to many."
Last week, Arlene had asked maybe God would give us a
sign just before the Rapture......
Why does the Bible say 2 things? First, the dead
in Christ will rise first,,,,,,,,and second, the sentence above, where
many others were resurrected when Christ arose.
Not to mention, then they went in Jerusalem and were
seen by many.....WOW!
Every time I listen to the Rapture CD by Brother Sal,
I am reminded about this possibility of a warning to the world, just like
when Jonah went to Nineveh. He says, in all probability, when those
others were brought out and went into the city, they probably went back
to their families and friends.....and what a story they would have told!!!
It's no wonder then, after they (probably) went to heaven when Jesus ascended,
there would be 3000 who accepted Christ 10 days later at Pentecost.
2 things have always been on my mind. First, I
ALWAYS knew, long before I fully accepted Christ later in my life, I ALWAYS
knew even as a young person that the reason nobody made sacrifices to God
anymore was because Jesus Christ was the last sacrifice we would ever need....I
just knew that instinctively from a young age.
Second.....it always seemed to me that the phrase "and
the dead in Christ would rise first..." was said that way for a REASON.
And if they walked on the earth for any period of time before "then we
who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds
to meet the Lord in the air," wouldn't that be an incredible and undeniable
(?) final warning.
And the one single sentence in Matthew 27:53 is the foreshadowing
of an event just before the Rapture.
It sure does make sense.....
