"Matt - "When "Yashua" and "Yahwe" and the whole Jewish-Christianity thing goes way too far... !!""

Hi, Matt!

You’re being a little hard of those of us who use Jesus and God’s Hebrew names, and choose to celebrate Sabbath the way Father Yahweh initially set it up.  The RCC changed worship to Sundays, not Yahweh, and the Commandment says, “Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God.”  The seventh day has always been Saturday, not Sunday.  And Yahshua celebrated Sabbath (Shabbat) just like the rest… Friday sunset to Saturday sunset.  One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. (Romans 14:5-6a)

As for “acting like Jews”… we are grafted onto the vine, therefore we ARE Jews, and Yahshua is the Vine.  BTW, I’m not Jewish, I’m Gentile, and I love the Lord with all my heart, soul and mind.  You are correct in that anything can be carried too far.  I don’t consider this to be a trap… it is what I feel led to do in my spirit, and it is what the head of our household, my husband, Richard, chooses to do. There’s nothing erroneous about calling them by their Hebrew names.  Yahshua was BORN Hebrew, and given a Hebrew name.  Hebrew names all have meanings to them.  And if you look in the front of any Bible (in the Forward), you will see that God’s real name is Yahweh.  If He tells you it’s Yahweh, He means it!  That would be like calling me Executive Secretary.  I wouldn’t be insulted by it, but my name is Peggy, not Executive Secretary.  See my point?

Be blessed!

Peggy
