I believe you are right on target.  I have known for quite some time that
what I call the "Hal Lindsey" approach to end time events which we all
are familiar with just wasn't right.  This approach certainly doesn't
line up with the knowledge that the Jews are only 1/12 of the population
of Israel and that Israel will be in the land when Messiah returns, not
just the Jews but ALL Israel.

Anyhow, Ellis Skolfield, author of False Prophet nailed Islam as the
final beast back in the 80's when he wrote his book.  He is giving this
book away free upon request on his web site.

He equates Mohammed with the False Prophet, the al aksa mosque with the
abomination of desolation, allah with the antichrist, the 200,000,000 man
army with the Muslims not the Chinese, the two witnesses as Christianity
and Judaism, and many more current Islam related symbols.  Just as you
took Israel as the center of your prophetical perspective I believe we
all need to "rethink" what we have been taught about the end times and
understand what we have been taught come from man so is very open to
error.
