"NATURE AND THE RYTHM"

A spider spins her web never worrying about
the cost of losing it's existence, never worrying
about what happens if....
A candle always flickers as if dancing to an unseen
rhythm, never knowing if pride exists. Never
worrying if wax collides with skin, or if it
does offend.
A rainbow makes a gentle appearance not
realizing clouds compete with grace.
Does the thunder realize it's might and the
lighting know how fear and doubt
are friends?
The agile panther looks for shelter and
catches sight of a cliffside brightly lit
not knowing it is the subject of legend, lore
and faith, not wanting to commit.
The spiral that is reflected on the back
of a baby's head, is a pattern of the
hurricane that never rests or frets,
ginving over to a will that has
no age, no end, yet wins.
Does a melody eventually lose it's
path, knowing nothing of it's source?
Does it laugh when gravity is mixed with sport?
I hope the spine can wonder if the bone
and nerve can speak of a race that
runs straight on, to the mind which
always seeks... and knows.
When I lay my head to sleep I often
wonder, if God still has His dreams
as He did in ancient days. Does he
dream of perfect family and evil which
knows no chance? Does he challenge an
imploding star and wishes for a time
that a whisper in my heart registers to me...
"Let's dance."
