Dear Doves,
Randy, I think your idea of where we are as eternal family members is an interesting one. How important is where we are now? I keep on reminding myself that I am in search of the far and better country and place and home as Avram was. The father of many nations to come saw himself as an alien, sojourner, and pilgrim. He was passing through many places to the better one. Our places are not that secure. I think where I am is a potential launch pad. We are less where we are than where these transient launch pads will send us toward. I dream of the greatest of places to come in Heaven. It seems to me that where we are happen to be themes and variations on the emerging Sodom Grand Central. It is hard for me to write this because a sense of home and place is important. Each of us is attached to where we have been and the people we have loved there. It is difficult not to get too rooted and anchored into the earthly sense of place as home and stability and future. There will be the earth dwellers soon according to the book of Revelation. I pray to be loosely tethered to earth, place, things and relationships.
I have to remember not to be like the family Lot. They need the help of angels to flee Sodom. Mrs. Lot has Sodom living within her . That is part of her tragedy.
There are many places I have lived. Where I live now is in spirit in the heavenlies. My body is at a launch pad place. May our eternal family, of each and all Doves, meet soon in the eternity place of all blessness in the amazing far country. I long for that day. With Love and Shalom,
