Isaiah called him a "crooked serpent." He called him a "piercing serpent" (as in the one responsible for piercing Jesus) even "leviathan" and the Devil and Satan. And notice Isaiah says God will punish him with His Sword. Who is the Sword? The Word of God, Jesus.
This immediately reminded me of the Arabic word for Allah being a crowned serpent. See this post:

  This is not the exact picture Watchman used, but to me it is even more descriptive because it shows the swords also. Hmmm..... swords, as in used for beheading, the favorite Islamic means of execution.
