"The Firstfruits Ascension
Model--40 days and 10 days"
Since writing
Signs of the End and observing the events of last summer, the use of forty
has popped up everywhere. Forty 360-day years from June 7, 1967 landed
right on November 8, 2006--Heshvan 17 and the anniversary day God brought
the Great Flood in Noah's Day. It was the day to begin the forty days and
nights of rain. Though no event occurred (with exception of the transit
of Mercury), it did point to the importance of forty and the events of
summer. It seems to have begun a parade of dates bringing to mind Noah,
Moses, and then Christ. (Please see website).
However, forty
years of 365 days comes exactly to Pentecost 2007 (May 27th). Pentecost
is 50 inclusive day counts from Firstfruits--the day our Lord was resurrected.
Forty days later He ascended to Heaven with ten days remaining until Pentecost.
Pentecost is known as the extension of Firstfruits in the Bible (Leviticus
23) and a similar pattern of the year of Jubilee. One is to observe seven
Sabbaths after the first Sabbath after Passover. The same pattern goes
with the Sabbath years where after seven occurrences of the seventh year
the trumpet was sounded in the 50th year to proclaim liberty to the captives.
With the obvious
attention being drawn to forty and significant past biblical judgments,
it seems clear that the Day is almost here. All of the other numbers have
highlighted key anniversaries in a seeming countdown. But if the scenario
is true, then one day must be coming soon to make sense of it all.
I believe
that day may be Pentecost. There are many reasons, but time is short and
the thought needs to be considered. It seems as if Christ's ascension is
a marker before the completion of the great Jubilee that seems to be in
2017. Christ is raised on day one of Firstfruits. Are we raised at its
completion after 7 weeks? If so then the last harvest of the seventh month
would be reserved for Israel.
Resurrection
of Christ =====> 40 days =====> Ascension
======> 10 days =====> Pentecost
Jerusalem
1967 =======> 40 years =======> Rapture 2007 =========> 10 years
=======> Jubilee 2017
Will the Rapture
occur on the same day that the Church began? Have the leavened loaves come
to their completion (Romans 11:16)?
On the day
of 50 will the Jubilee for the Church begin?
Will there
be hints given this Passover season?
All we can
do is watch and be ready with answers to those who ask.
In Christ,
