Today's Tower of Babel

Below is a letter-to-editor I have just sent to a Christian
magazine which I receive,,,the author has been discussing all the many and
varied "conspiracy theories" abounding today..

Dear Mr.

I have
much enjoyed your articles about "conspiracy theories",,,and wow...there are
so many out there that one wonders who is left that does not bow the knee
to baal? I agree that many are not redeeming the short time left
unto the coming of our Lord,,,,and instead immerse themselves too much into
these dark things of the world. But, wait,,,in the scriptures
there is an example of what is going on this very day. Below this
message, I have put the whole passage,,,,it is about the tower
of Babel.
Our Lord often paints a huge picture in so little words, but note the
following about those men who banded together in Shinar (today Iraq / middle
east).
First,,,they
said “GO TO,,,let us make brick, (for they had no
stones in the desert),,,and brick is inferior to stone. And they had “slime” for mortar……didn’t
have mortar, which would be superior,,,but they had “slime”,,,which means
derived from “OIL”. (is this beginning to sound like the present world?) So,
the “city” and the “tower”, were made of inferior materials, and, being the
first mentioned in the Bible to use “bricks”,,,they were the first “masons”
! (getting a bit conspiratorial?)
Now, God pays a visit to this scene and sees that they will not be
“restrained” from doing all that
they imagine (they will have
their opportunity later…like now?),,,,,after,,guess
what,,,,the “restrainer” is removed
! And, God says, to be facetious, “GO
TO,,,,let us go down” and confound them….mocking their over-confidence,
using their same “GO TO” as He also mocks them in
Psalm 2,,,,,having them in derision….and, at the coming of our Lord, soon,
they will most surely be “confounded”.
The Lord at that time scattered them abroad on the face of the earth….but
they have continued to this day, from Nimrod to this day,,,in their Babylonish
religions and “masonry”……………
Now, I
cannot find but only one other time that the Holy Spirit uses the term “GO
TO”,,,except in James chapter 5,,,and guess
who he is addressing? see:
1 GO
TO
now, ye
rich men,
weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your
riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 3 Your
gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against
you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together
for the last days. 4 Behold, the hire of the labourers
who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth:
and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord
of sabaoth. 5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and
been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. 6 Ye
have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. 7 Be
patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath
long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Notice,
when we see these city and tower builders of the modern day,,,we are to know
that the Lord is looking into the state of His gardens and vineyards….and
that He will come soon…..

us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole
earth. 5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the
tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the LORD
said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this
they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they
have imagined to do. 7 GO
TO,
let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand
one another's speech. 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad
from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the
city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel;
because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from
thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
