Hello Brad,,,,
I agree with you fully, that the hour of His coming is unclear to us.....I am trying to work on that in today's study "the hour",,I honestly think somehow we will "know" more clearly as time approaches the actual day, but I don't know quite how....Paul said that "that day" could NOT come upon us as a thief "in the night",,because we are not of the night,,we are of the day......Jesus said, "work while it is yet day, for when night cometh,,,no man can work",,so, the "work" of this Christian dispensation will be over when that "night" comes...That night cannot overtake us as a thief, simply because we will not be here. Jesus said that the kind of thief He is,,,is one who comes to give life, and give it more abundantly,,,so we will see Him as the thief that comes and snatches away the bride,,,,,,, We will be taken away during the last part of the DAY of our work.  As for the "hour",,,see my attempt at sorting this out in my letter today.  The "goodman" of the house, (porter), could also refer to satan,,,for if HE knew the time of the coming of our Lord,,,he himself would not want his own house broken up......I am just truly hoping that He gives us some sort of revelation prior to His coming,,,for Paul said we would "see that day coming", we who are children of the day...\
