"Nisan 1"

Nisan 1

this year:  March 20

(note: Nisan 1 starts the eve prior, the 19th,, and there is a partial solar eclipse that evening)

Warm greetings Doves…

This will be short but I want to get it out before Monday.

Nisan is an important month…God told Moses it was to be thenceforth the “first of months for you..”

Backing up from Nisan 10, which I recently wrote about,,,,to the first of the month,,,,I wanted to look into the significance of this first day of Nisan….
Importantly, it was the first day of Nisan that the tabernacle of Moses had finished being wrought by the workmen, and it was ordered by God that it be set up on this day:

On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up

Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.

Moses had received from God, in the mount when he was up there for 40 days and 40 nights, exacting measurements and exact pattern for the tabernacle,,,,for it is stated several times that the pattern was to be followed “exactly”.
God then supernaturally endowed two overseers of the work, I think Bezeleel was one of them (?)….and also supernaturally endowed the many artisans and workers, who would do the metal work, and embroidery, wood work etc.

God also with clarity stated that it should be “set up” on the first day of the first month, Nisan.  And Moses did this….in 40:18 above, it says he “reared up” the tabernacle, and “reared up” the pillars…..(the masculine of pillars?)   The church of Philadelphia is told that its members will be “pillars” in the Temple of God…..

Now, we are God’s temple,,,,we are members of Christ’s Body, which is “the temple”, of which He said “destroy this temple, and I will RAISE IT UP in three days.”

In Ephesians, Paul clarifies how we are built into this Temple of Christ’s Body….

Ephesians 2:19

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

20

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

22

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Also in Ephesians, Paul shows how each of us have received various spiritual gifts (alike to when God endowed the tabernacle workers),,,and that the purpose of these gifts is for “edifying”…..many may think to edify means to support, or comfort,,,but it means “to build”,,,,(which is where we get the word “edifice,,,,defined:

1 : BUILDING; especially : a large or massive structure
2 : a large abstract structure <holds together the social edifice
and that each member of the Body of Christ, has something to bring to the building up of His Body, His Temple,,,,,working together, for the common purpose of “completing this work”…..as Moses did all that the Lord had commanded,,,,and blessed the people when they had finished it:

Exodus 39:42
According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.
39:43
And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

notice also…Ephesians 2:

Ephesians 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

that this building, is for the purpose of creating a habitation of God,,,just as Moses made the tabernacle, and the GLORY of God came and settled in it,,,for it also was the habitation of God, for the Israelites in their journeying…..this tabernacle being reared up on Nisan 1…..

Doves,,,since we are all watching the coming days of importance,,,I thought it good to bring this detail to your remembrance,,,so that on that evening / day,,,we can thank our Lord for His continuing presence among men…His longsuffering with us…His mercy and grace…and who knows…maybe our Lord will “rear up” His own temple of saints on that day…….another day to add to our “maybe this day” list….

Revelation 21:3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
