Listen, please pray that I can
find a GOOD HOME for the stray female black lab I found yesterday afternoon!!!!
I spent over a hundred bucks (ouch!!) for a vet exam, to get her
shots, and on frontline (she was COVERED in ticks! ~ like she'd been wandering
in the country), antibiotics for the fever (due to the ticks, the vet said),
and bathed, etc.
Called EVERY pet agency in town
- -they're ALL FULL!!!!! {not surprising in these end
days -- the way irresponsible people just dump unwanted animals like they
are "trash" :( ... and/or do not take responsibility
in neutering/spaying them.}
I do have "one" lead -- a lady
who thinks she & her husband might want a lab. I told them I'd
send a pic of her to them later today (when the vet gets it to me) and then
we can hook up later on so they can look at her.
After all this money,
time, (love) and expense invested in her thus far -- I sure hate to take
her to the pound only to be "put down"!!! :(
But options seem VERY FEW at the moment. DH will simply not
consider a lab (we already have an inside dog) & he's very adament that
he does not want two.
Pray that we
can find a GOOD HOME for her!!!! (and QUICKLY!!! ~ cannot
afford the $15. a day boarding fee either!!)
The $$ I spent was intended
for our next lil' R & R getaway {unless needed for bills
BEFORE then ~ which is more likely the case} ~ but I'm such a bleeding
heart when it comes to strays!!

Oh ~ "P.S." ~ the other way
this relates to these end days was in talking w/the vet about micro-chipping
(she claimed that's the only way people can CLAIM OWNERSHIP of their pets
-- either that OR a collar with tags) ~ of which this dog had neither.
But the vet just so glibly talked of how they can "SCAN" pets
to see if they are chipped ~ like it's NO BIG DEAL any more.
Wow -- when I was growing up
50 years ago, never thought I'd see or be living in this time of SCIENCE
FICTION!!
Anyway -- thanks again for
asking the Lord to direct us with a placement in a good home for this black
beauty!! (not with unscrupulous people who would harm her).
