Alan had a question about the present dwelling of various people, so I
will try to provide an answer. After Christ was resurrected, He went to Hades (Paradise), the dwelling
place of all the departed saved up to that time, and took all of them to
heaven, and that would include Moses, Elijah, and Enoch. They, like
everyone else who lived prior to the coming of Jesus, were saved by
their faith in the God of Abraham. With few exceptions, these will not
have a bodily resurrection until the end of the Tribulation Period,
after which they will then enter the Millennial Kingdom here on earth.
The appearance of Moses and Elijah at the Mount was a temporary
resurrection, and will probably be duplicated by their appearance
during the first half of the Tribulation Period. But in both cases,
they are taken back to heaven.Regarding the twenty-four elders, they represent the saved, both Jews
and Gentiles from all the ages who will be in heaven at the end of the
Tribulation Period. They will return with Christ at that time to be
part of the reign of Christ for 1000 years. All those who lived after Pentecost can only go to heaven through Jesus
Christ, and that includes Jews and Gentiles.Wes K.
