In reading some of the recent postings regarding personal opinions as to
the identity of the antichrist, some further insights should be
considered.First of all, the bible states that we cannot know who the antichrist
will be until after the Rapture occurs (II Thess. 2: 6-8). Are we then
to say that God does not know what he is talking about?I personally feel that the antichrist will come out of a nation in the
Middle East, from the eastern leg of the former Roman Empire, and that
he will be one acceptable to the muslims, because they would not accept
anyone else. It is interesting that the Hashemites, the descendants of
Mohammed, are the guardians of the muslim holy sites as well as
Jerusalem. This might suggest that the antichrist comes out of this
group. The penalty for not following the antichrist is beheading, a
practice common among muslims. The Shiites believe that the 12th inman disappeared as a child in the
year 941, when he returns, they believe, he will reign on earth for
seven years before bringing about a final judgment, and the end of the
world. It is interesting to hear what is being said by the president of
Iran. He wants to cause a war to hasten the coming of the Mahdi, or
their messiah, who will come on a white horse. He feels he will return
within two years.I'm not looking the the antichrist. I'm looking for Christ!!
