In a post dated 18-March, there was a list of off-site posts presenting a case for Mystery-Babylon being the United States (again). I used the cited links as a reference for this Off-Site Author of the case for the States=Harlot, I dutifully began working my way through the list of reference links. You can do the same for one of the posts by holding down the CTRL key while pressing N, New browser window, paste the URL two paragraphs down in this post into the new browser, or just read along.

The first link was actually in the paragraphs preceeding the off-site author's link list and referrs to Washington DC as being the home of the 'seven hills', an integral part of the o-s.author's case. So there is a scripture reference; Isaiah 18:5...

IS18.5: For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
Ok, looked up sour grapes, guess what? The Bible says 'sour grapes' and by golly, they are sour, unripe grapes! (not cherries from DC's cherry trees) RED FLAG #1

Then our fellow Dove gives us the advise that we should read a specific post to get the overview of the o-s author's case, so dutifully and all that......

The o-s author lays out a very faulty case involving the *interpretation* of the meaning of the Freedom/Liberty statue atop the Capitol dome. Watch this carefully:

First Paragraph, the setup: "Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (18) And the woman which thou saw is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth."

EVE?!? Wait, is he saying that granny EVE of Genesis is the mother of all harlots? Or was he referring to Washington DC? I'm confused. Let's go back up a dozen or so paragraphs and re-check shall we?

pg8 "In this essay 'Deception is the Fuel', Gods' wisdom of Revelation 17:9 clearly identifies who 'the great harlot' is and the MYSTERY SHE HIDES in the 'forehead' of her dome. " Ok, dome=Capital Building=DC, right?

Look at his loose euphimistic use of the words 'forhead' & 'dome'. The alleged gddess EVE has a helmet with presumably 10 stars (not horns) resting on her head, covering her forhead. The 'dome' the o-s author is now referring to is the rotunda interior which the statue surmounts or stands upon. OK, RED FLAG #2.

So what about this dome/rotunda anyway? Well as a citizen lobbist for AIPAC, I have been there, I have seen that. It is not as easy to see alllllll the way up there as one might think. However, making use of the government's site detailing the stuff in question on the interior of the rotunda, dome/forehead....

You want to make sure you are on the page that LISTS the SIX images detailed in the Apotheosis. (Apotheosis means glorification, usually to a divine level, coming from the Greek word apotheoun, "to deify.", wikipedia)

I will grant the o-s author this: Science, Marine, Commerce, Mechanics & Agriculture are represented with six Roman glorified personnas of mythology. War is represented by two virtuous concepts Freedom defeats tyranny and kingly power. Very Wahsingtonian themes. All personnas represent virtues from classical art, all activities of health human endeavor, which are admired and esteemed in any culture. The off-site author is no art historian. Demonic deification of humans or just classical art?

Note that there are SIX images which the o-s author somehow counts as SEVEN mountain-like images. A stretch and we are still trying to decipher the forehead! RED FLAG #3.

Enough with the red flags already. OY such a headache I got trying to backtrack through the rest of this guy's thesis. I am not buying what this guy is selling. [period] It may very well be that our beloved, beleagired country is headed to hades in a pink & yellow basket. However......

The very FIRST instance of the L*rd blessing anyone comes to pops Abraham in:

Ge 12:2
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
Ge 12:3
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Who are pops Abraham's kids & progeny? You and me, jews and gentiles alike. The off-site author is presumably one of us. His thesis is tortured with illogical leaps and conclusions just like so many before him whom he is so quick to sweep aside for his own pet project. Yes I wasted the requisite amount of time reading his other posts.

The facts are;
a) we are headed for one world govt;
b) We are presumably stuck in the middle-east as the global pit-bulls, G*d save our Sons & Daughters
c) There is a rebellious brother Ishmael, who hates Israel & his little half brother the garden variety Christain
d) We do not know yet whom the anti will manifest his rebellious power in.
e) Yes there is a whole HOST of likely suspects. I could list site after site drawing the same conclusions based on everything from bloodlines to personal dislike including prophetic references.

I really have no patience anymore for this stuff. It is specificly designed to stir up the little lambs and send them bleating helter-skelter in all directions to see who can be cut from the safety of the sheepfold and devoured. Shepherds, feed your sheep!
