"Is the Star of Bethlehem the Sign of the Soon Coming Messiah?"

Is the Star of Bethlehem the Sign of the Soon Coming Messiah?

Several proposals will be made that while some may have already been thought of by others as documented below, I believe the conclusion based on these proposals in Item 3 below has not been reached before.

1.  The Star of Bethlehem is the Crescent Moon and Star symbol common in the Middle East representing a special conjunction between the moon and Jupiter
2.  The Star of Bethlehem appeared to the east of Israel on April 17, 6 B.C. in the constellation Aries heralding the birth of the Prince of Peace 2 years later
3.  The Star of Bethlehem appeared in central North America on December 7, 2004 in the constellation Virgo heralding the return of the Prince of Peace for His virgin Bride.

I think all of these proposals as a whole are worthy of much more intensive study than I have done below but wanted to put this forward for consideration.

Consider that the Star of Bethlehem is the Crescent Moon and Star symbol.  As “EAR” pointed out in his 2/23/2006 Five Doves Post, the Crescent Moon and Star symbol has been part of the Turkish (should I now say Magog’s?) flag well before Islam was founded.

Islam only adopted this symbol later as their own.

Keep in mind that it is not unusual for movements to adopt symbols that stand for something else and claim them as their own.  Look at Hitler.  He took the Swastika as the symbol for his National Socialists party, (NAZI’s) even though it was a much older symbol.  Or look at the Zionist’s movement adopting the hexagram.  It is interesting that there are those that are convinced that the “mark of the beast” will be the hexagram, (literally putting a “hex” on a person), which is the same symbol that Hitler used to mark the Jews.  For reference do Web search using words “hexagram” “mark” “beast” and look at sites such as:

Crescent Moon & Star
The Crescent Moon and Star have been identified to mean the following.  The crescent moon is the moon soon after it is a new moon.  The star has been identified as the chief among the planets, the king of the planets, Jupiter.  In astrological and for that matter, satanic terms, we have what is called the Moon about to “occult” Jupiter or having just "occulted" Jupiter.  One can do a web search using the term, “Moon” “occult” “Jupiter” to find more detail on the subject.  One interpretation is that the chief of the planets Jupiter, the representation of the King of Kings, the Creater, even though the largest of the planets, is about to be “occulted” or covered up by the dark side of the moon, the ruler of darkness, the prince of darkness, who is much closer to the inhabitants of the earth..  So Jah will no longer be  seen by the inhabitants of the Earth.

Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.  Psalms 68:4

An interpretation that serves to show one of the reasons why this heavenly sign has been taken as the Star of Bethlehem is as follows.  The chief among the planets, Jupiter, representing Jah, has emerged from being with the moon, representing Jesus, in the same location in the sky, and is now watching over as the moon is being new born, a new moon.  Or more simply, Jupiter, representing a new ruler, is about to be born, when it is in conjunction with a new moon.  And the constellation this occurs in determines what kingdom it will rule over.

Now the interesting thing to me is that a whole book has been written on this same premise:

This sign in the sky is said to have occurred in the constellation Aries the Ram, representing Israel, on April 17, 6 BC.

Now, how could this same sign be THE sign for the Soon Coming Messiah which many of us believe will be in the form of the Rapture of the Virgin Bride of Christ?  If this same sign occurred in Virgo, standing for the Virgin Church, without spot or wrinkle.  This sign did indeed occur in the constellation Virgo on December 7, 2004, as visible from central North America.

A similar favorable viewing from North America is not supposed to occur until October 6, 2026

If one takes the December 7, 2004 date as the sign, then one could start making analogies with the Star of Bethlehem and when the star first appeared and when Christ was born.  As recorded in the Bible, Herod killed all the babies up to two years of age based on when the star sign was first seen.  I have also heard that after he did this he died within a month.  If I remember right, around May, 4 B.C.  So one could draw that we could expect the rapture within a period of 2 years from December 7, 2004 B.C.

Obviously this area is ripe for a lot more in-depth research.

Shalom!
