Ellen,
Be encouraged.  God wants all people to be saved.  You were praying for
your friend to be saved, you can rest assured God wouldn't have taken
her home without her knowing Him.  Sometimes He decided to take people
all the way home to heal them.  I don't pretend to know why God heals
people physically sometimes in this world and why other people He
decides to heal them by taking them to be with Him, but I know we can
trust His Word and His mercy.
