As Charles Spurgeon was a great man of God but he is just wrong on the
understanding of the verse in Luke 11:4.

The actually written Word is ---Lead us not into the Temptation and keep
us from evil or evil one.

The definite article "the" is clearly present in the original manuscripts.
Also there are no textual problems in this passage the influences the use
of the definite article. The truth is available to anyone with a
interlinear Greek Bible.

This takes place in various places with the word temptation in the NT and
changes the meaning to a trial or testing.
