I teach biology, and History, and I have put some thought to the idea of the gay gene, and I think some people may have a gene tendency towards being gay.  However, there are people who have a genetic tendency towards alcoholism, murder, adultery, playing the piano, and juggling.  Just because I have the genetic predisposition to play the piano, doesn’t mean I have to become the next Mozart.  We all possess the gene for RAGE, and the ability to kill, but God gave us the ability to chose to follow the instinct, or not.  It is also a biological idea that males naturally want to reproduce as often and with as many as possible, but it doesn’t excuse infidelity. We are all encoded with sin, and it is different for everyone.  We make choices each day and we all sin each day, (most we don’t even realize).  But when it comes to using the “gay gene” as an excuse for the actions some partake in, it is just looking for an excuse.  I put it on the same lines as using temporary insanity as a murder plea. It is just another excuse for sin.  We are very good at doing that.  We justify sin in the eyes of man and it defies the word of God.  Homosexuals have tried to justify there actions before God for years, now they have given up and are now trying to remove God from society or find some way to feel good about what they do.
