Basics
in brief: Grandparents farm…grandson visiting…new slingshot…practiced in
woods…bad shot…back toward house…saw Grandma's pet duck…long shot…couldn’t
hit it…shot anyway…freak result…hit duck in head…duck dead.
He was
startled, then worried, then fearful. In a panic, he hid the dead duck
in the wood pile. Then he saw his sister watching out the window. She ad
seen it all, but she said nothing when he went in.
After
dinner Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes." Sally said, "Grandma,
Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen." Then she whispered to
him, "Remember the duck?" Johnny washed the dishes.
The next
day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing, but Grandma said,
"I'm sorry but I need Sally to help me bake." Sally just smiled and said,"
I’ll go fishing because Johnny told me he wanted to learn that." She then
whispered to Johnny again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and
Johnny stayed to work.
Johnny
did his jobs and Sally's jobs all day and evening, then decided to do something
about it. He went to Grandma and told her he had killed her duck. Grandma
bent down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was
looking out another window and I saw the whole thing. But because I love
you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make
a slave of you."
Whatever
is in your past, whatever you have done, whatever it is, you need to know
that God was standing at the window and He saw what you did…everything…every
time.
He has
seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you
are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make
a slave of you. Satan will keep reminding you and say you cannot be forgiven
for the things you have done. The great thing about YAHWEH, father of JESUS,
is that when you ask for forgiveness, He not only forgives you, but He
forgets. He doesn’t want to even remember what you did because He doesn’t
want anything to effect how much He loves you.
AMAZING!
Not the way we say the word. Truly amazing. More than humans can do and
difficult for us to even understand. Think about it. Think often.

away the message…” Luke 8:12 “…people who have heard; then the devil comes
and carries away the message out of their hearts, that they may not believe…”
Revelation 12:10 “…the accuser of our brethren, he who keeps bringing before
our God charges against them day and night…” John 8:44 “…he is a liar and
the father of lies and of all that is false.” 2Corinthians 2:11 “…we are
not ignorant of his schemes and intentions.”
YAHWEH
forgets: Romans 4:7 “Blessed and happy and to be envied are
those whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered up and completely
buried.” 2Corinthians 5:19 “…not counting up and holding against men their
sins…” 1John 2:12 “…your sins are forgiven - pardoned through His [JESUS]
name and on account of [your] confessing His name.”
