where our words thermometer, thermostat, etc come from. Heat is the most
common form of energy and thermodynamics is the changes and effects of
heat and energy (my simple definition). Yes, The Bible does talk about
this science. The main principle of all physical science is about
the conservation and deterioration of energy. The law of energy conservation
says any change in the form of energy does not reduce the total amount
of energy (makes sense to me). Mass, also known as matter, is energy bound
together as things. A law of mass conservation says matter can be changed,
but the energy total cannot change (I may not have this exactly correct,
but I am 63 years old and am not checking a textbook or online; only memory
for what it is worth). These two laws together teach us the total
of energy/mass remains the same; no creation or destruction of the amount.
The sun burns and some of it’s heat which comes to us (PTL). Our
sun and millions of other ones (we call the others stars) radiate heat
and other wavelengths of energy all over the universe. That energy still
exists; no more, no less. This information in the first three paragraphs
above is known as the “First Law of Thermodynamics.” It is not only the
first law of physical science, it is the most important law. Physics, chemistry,
etc are all based on this scientific law. Humans watched wood burn away
in fires, but only learned fully about this science a little more than
100 years ago.
The Bible, however, taught for thousands of
years that creation is not happening any more. Why do humans think they
discovered this? The
God of The Bible told us long ago.
