I found that translation "144,000 among women not defiled, for they are
virgins" quite acceptable.  This I base on Noah being saved as he had
found grace in the eyes of the Lord and Noah was a just man and perfect in his
generations.  So to understand why Noah was perfect in his generations (this
would have made him a virgin, he was unadulterated) then read Chapter 6 of
Genesis and it will be found that the Adamic race was beginning to adulterate
itself as it has done today.  I won't elaborate on this further as it is up to
yourselves to understand the term of adulteration.  Virgin means purity,
uncontaminated or unpolluted (nothing else is added to the pure substance).  It
certainly does not refer any woman having sex and no longer a virgin.
