sorry, this was really something today.......
I was sitting at my computer, writing the mails about the solar eclipse to some friends...

and all at once when chequing some sites about the solar eclipse (because I was thinking it is only visible in North Africa and Turkey and some neighbour places) ... wow – all at once I found a photo in the web somebody already has taken from a place here in South-Germany... showing a good part from the sun covered by the moon... ... wow!!! I took my solar viewers which I had just beside my computer which I still had from the last eclipse in 1999.... I jumped outside.... there were clouds... and raindrops.... however...all at once .... the sun came through.... wow... and there it was !!!!!!!!!!

wow.... I ran to my family.... sister, mother ! yes I could show her and she saw it too...., my father... with one grip he had his own “solar glasses” , to my wife, and daughter Sonja and to Annette... she was at her girlfriend’s place... half mile away... I rushed with a bike...( unfortunately the boys have been at school....)
wow.... by a hair’s breadth.... we almost missed this event....
this is something, isn’t....
hope that when the trumpet is blowing... that – by His Grace – it will be loud.... that we may hear and obey and be at our place....
help us Lord... Amen.

P.S. ....this is something...
it seems that there has been in the past no total solar eclipse just at the beginning of the Hebrew month of Nissan (the month with Passover...)
(which could be watched from Israel ! ).

... And if it is so... than this is really something...!!!!!
Please remember last Fall... when just before the Feast of Trumpets... there was a solar eclipse.. too... on Oct. 3, 2005....
... and right now... again....!!!
remember... how it is watched to see the new moon... to count the days to Passover... now: the “new moon” was passing over
the sun visible for the whole world (by means of modern media)....
...And just today the new “Palestinian government” in place ... and a new parliament in Israel elected.... !!
Very unique: it seems that the year 5766 is just “framed” with Solar Eclipses:
Oct 3, 2005 (just before 5766 and the month of Tishrei beginning – Feast of Trumpets)
Annular Solar Eclipse
“A long-lasting annular eclipse will be visible from Spain and much of Africa. The track begins in the Atlantic, crosses into Spain, and runs south-east into Africa, terminating in the Indian Ocean. A partial eclipse will be visible from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and south-west Asia.”

Annular Solar Eclipse
“The track runs east from central America into the Atlantic, then turns south-east, and finishes south of Africa...” (however not visible in Israel)
