Today is the wonderful 2006 Total Solar Eclipse http://www.spaceweather.com/

In Israel (where just now have been elections, and a “new Palestinian government”...) there this eclipse also can be watched however as Partial Eclipse (few minutes before 1:00 p.m. = 13:00 local time = 11:00 UTC ).

The path of totality is crossing North Africa, the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, and in Turkey around 11:00 UTC Time.
